History

Escro was founded in 1959 by Anthony and Mary Esposito. The first deliveries were made off a truck Tony borrowed from a friend since he did not yet own one. The first shipments were scraps of freight that bigger companies didn't want to bother with.

Escro's primary business in the beginning was distribution of meat from shippers in the Midwest. In the early 1970's, with the decline of the meat industry, Escro started focusing on direct LTL shipments throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Escro next turned to the confectionery industry to supplement candy shipments in its refrigerated fleet of trucks. Escro now provides LTL and Pool
distribution for all major confectionery companies in the country. Soon after, Escro acquired several Drug and Toilet Prep companies along with Pharmaceutical and Personal Care companies as well.

After moving several times in the first few years Escro moved into its first new building in the mid 1970's where we are still located today.
